Microsoft Will Add 64-bit Support For Arm Chips

Although  the Windows notebook with the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform has its  advantages in networking, it also has the fatal drawback of not  supporting 64-bit applications. Although  Microsoft has sent a lot of assurances, on many occasions, they said  that they will eventually add 64-bit app support to the ARM architecture  platform. However, the actual timeline has also come from today. Erin Chappie, general manager of Microsoft’s Windows division,  revealed to us that they will release the ARM 64-capable SDK at the  Build Developer Conference that will begin soon.

With  the new SDK, developers can have native 64-bit support for their app on  ARM-based computers (such as ASUS NovaGo), no longer limited to the  current 32-bit. Although the performance of related applications will increase after getting 64-bit support, this is also a welcome improvement.

These  networked PCs using ARM architecture will be pre-loaded with Windows 10  S. However, Microsoft also gives users the opportunity to switch to  Windows 10 Pro in 2019, allowing users to operate in a more familiar and  powerful system. The  ARM 64 SDK will be able to make both Microsoft Store and Desktop  Edition (.exe) programs, making it easy for developers to access it  according to their needs.
